Getting To Port Macquarie
Port Macquarie, situated at an idyllic junction between river and sea, is reputed to enjoy Australia's perfect climate. It also enjoys a fantastic combination of natural environments.
On the coast, beaches range from small and secluded to long and luxurious, with sparkling clean water and pristine sand. The Hastings River, which meets the sea on Port Macquarie's doorstep, provides a wide range of holiday experiences from estuary fishing to water skiing, yachting and canoeing, to languorous scenic cruises to nature reserves where water-dragons and dolphins play.
Drive to Us
Getting to Port Macquarie Town Beach Motor Inn by car is easy!
From Sydney, simply turn off the Pacific Highway and follow the Oxley Highway, into Port Macquarie. The Oxley Highway is named Gordon Street, once you enter the city of Port Macquarie. We are at the far eastern or ocean end of Gordon Street, only 400 metres from Town Beach.
From Brisbane you will enter Port Macquarie along Hastings River Drive. At the end of Hastings River Drive, turn left into Gordon Street and follow it to the eastern or ocean end. We are near the end of Gordon Street, just before Town Beach.
Relax on a Train
Getting to Port Macquarie Town Beach Motor Inn by Train/Rail is easy!
The NSW TrainLink service between Sydney and Brisbane stops daily at Kendall and Wauchope. A coach connection is provided for passengers travelling to Port Macquarie from Wauchope Station, which is 20 minutes inland from Port Macquarie.

Port Macquarie NSW is approximately one hour flying time from Sydney or Brisbane.
Port Macquarie Airport
Caters for all of your travel plans with over 100 flights a week in and out of Port Macquarie. There is a Café & Bar, car rental desks, ATM and WiFi. A public car park is located adjacent to the terminal. Free parking is for the first 30 minutes to allow dropping off and picking up of passengers. Taxi and shuttle bus services are available.

About Port's Ferry Service
Along Port Macquarie's river there are two ferries linking the CBD to the North Shore, providing access to Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve, North Beach and Crescent Head via Maria River Road (gravel road) and Point Plomer Road (4WD access only).
Settlement Point Ferry
(21 vehicle ferry)
Located at Settlement Point Road.
Operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Closed for maintenance 9.30am - 3pm on 4th Wednesday of the month.
Hibbard Ferry
(21 vehicle ferry)
Located at Boundary Street off Hastings River Drive.
Monday to Friday - 6.30am to 9.50am and 2.45pm to 6.50pm.
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays - 8am to 6.50pm.
School Holidays - Monday - Friday 6.30am to 6.50pm and Weekends 8am to 6.50pm
Closed for maintenance 10am - 2.45pm 4th Thursday of each month
